3D Sold Modeling
Start design with a napkin sketch or an e-mailed customer's DXF or IGES file. Powerful 2-D and 3-D CAD software make drawing easy, even for inexperienced operators.

Manufacturing Instructions
Output drawings. From the solid model, the system automatically breaks down the design into components, figures bend allowances, and issues dimensioned manufacturing drawings for cutting, bending, welding and assembly. It also prepares job instruction sheets.

Revisions, Revisions. . .
Since it stores data in one master file, revisions are easy. If an old job requires changes, the system can reverse engineer the part's G-code.

Automatic NC Code & Nesting
Convert manufacturing drawings to NC code for most types of fabricating equipment––automatically. Then see how quickly the system nests for highest sheet utilization.

Determines Cutting Conditions / Die Assignments
Don't worry about the optimum laser cutting conditions for any material. They're pre-set by Mazak, based upon actual cutting experience; yet you can adjust them easily.

Automation Interface
Mazak developed the Smart System to help pre-production keep pace with automated production. So, of course, it interfaces directly with your unmanned Mazak Laser FMS.

Computer Illiterate?
You don't need to be a computer whiz to operate the Smart System. The English graphic interface is self explanatory. In fact, your people will easily learn the Smart System in our 3 to 5-day training course.
