Designed to meet the needs of precision chassis fabricators, the Mazak Laser Center combines high-speed, high-accuracy laser cutting with the most useful forming and tapping tools. The result—positioning accuracy and repeatability that is 10 times tighter than typical turret-based punch-laser combination machines.

The Mazak Laser Center performs all 3 interrelated operations accurately, quickly and quietly with minimal tool and tap stress during forming and tapping operations.

The Laser Center also shortens production times by eliminating interstation transportation time and multiple setups. Like all Mazak lasers, the Laser Center can be retrofitted with automated FMS to further reduce total production time and costs.


The 1000 watt laser delivers high-speed, high accuracy cutting .	Three tapping tools are standard and three more are available as options. The tools can accomodate taps as large as 1/4 - 20 (M6).	The Mazak Laser Center provides 5 forming tools: four 1.25” and one 2” diameter. Custom tool holder configurations are available. A low-maintenance, low-shock hydraulic forming press assures quiet accuracy.


A table sized for standard 4'x8' sheets and the tight nesting possible with laser-cut parts saves material costs. Ball transfers and leather-lined workpiece supports help prevent marring of material surfaces.	The easy-to-use Mazatrol L-32C control can automatically set all 7 laser cutting conditions, yet also allows real time adjustments when necessary. The programmable control also allows 0 setup time between operations.	High-speed, high-accuracy servos engineered to meet the demands of laser processing provide quick response and positioning accuracy of ±.0004” and ±.0002” (vs. ±.005 and ±.002 on typical turret-based combination machines).
